Name or Email Address

Q:  Can I change my guest list to show names instead of email addresses?
A:  To have your guest's names appear on an Invite rather than their email addresses, you must first enter them in your Invite Address Book as such: John Smith <johnsmith@whatever.com>. Please add them to your Invite before sending it out unless they are already registered. (Registered users names automatically appear). If you add them after the send, you will have to remove them and resend. If you do decide to remove your guest they will receive an email telling them they have been removed, so make sure you let your guest know beforehand.

Q:  How do I invite a guest without an email address?
A:  If you want someone to appear on your Invite guest list and they don't have an email address, you can use a "dummy" email address and attach a real name to that address. To do this, enter your guest's name in the following format: FirstName LastName <fakename@domain.com>(Ex: Jane Smith <fakename@domain.com>or Joe <joe@fake.com>). Unfortunately, you'll receive some email bounce backs but your guests will be on the list. Then, contact those guests however you choose (e.g. phone, fax, regular mail), and when you know if they're planning to attend, you can go to your Invite, click Edit Guest Responses, choose the guest's name, enter their RSVP info and click Update Now.

Drafts

Q:  How long will my draft be saved?
A:  Please be aware that your Invite will be saved in draft version until the event date you selected. If you still have not sent out your draft before the date you entered, it will be removed from your account.

Ask Your Guests

Q:  Can I ask my guests specific questions pertaining to the event?
A:  Yes, when creating your Invite click on the Ask Your Guests tab, and then you can create questions to get a group consensus about your event. (Example: What kind of music would you like to hear at the party?)

Q:  How do I check my guests' responses to my questions?
A:  To see the answers to your questions pertaining to your event, just scroll down to the bottom of the page under the guest list and click the link See All Guests Answers.

What To Bring

Q:  Can I ask my guests to bring specific items to the party?
A:  Yes, when creating your Invite you can click on the What To Bring tab, and enter what you would like your guests to bring via the itemized checklist section.

Q:  How do I check which guests are bringing what items?
A:  To check to see what guests are bringing to your event, go into your Invite and click on the link See All Guest Answers. This will take you to a page that shows you what your guests have chosen.

Q:  Can guests bring more than one item?
A:  No, unfortunately this functionality has not been added yet.

Distribution Lists/Groups

Q:  How do I send my Invite to a distribution list or group address?
A:  To send your Invite to members of a distribution list or group email address, you must enter the address into the guest list field as list:yourgroupemailaddress, for example: list:group@Sitename.com. Your guests will be prompted to enter their name and email address to post their reply.

Host/Organizer Options

Q:  How can I add another host/organizer?
A:  Our system associates only one host email address to an Invite account. Only one host/organizer will have access to the Host Editing Tools. However, you can add another person's name as the organizer so that it appears in the "From" section of your Invite.

Q:  I am the host/organizer, can I add my name to the guest list?
A:  Unless you have an alternate email address to send your Invite to, you will not be able to appear as a guest on your Invite. This is because our system recognizes the email address that it was created under as the organizer. You can add yourself in the number of guests in the reply box so that the number of your "Yes" RSVP's will be accurate.
