The Proposal

 I had been clutching the ring box in my pocket, which was extremely difficult to conceal, for over 9 hours. We were playing hangman, which when done I was planning to pop the question with one of those public proposals were I get the whole rooms attention and declare my love to the most wonderful person I've ever known. That’s easier said than done. I was so nervous the food I was trying to eat lodged like a knot in my stomach. I almost had a panic attack right there. So I excused myself and went to the restroom to try to pull myself together. I splashed some water on my face and said to myself "Can I do this?" So I walked back to the table as inconspicuous as possible and to my demise the rooms’ population had more than doubled since my departure. I couldn’t do it. So I slammed down the rest of my chardonnay like it was a shot of tequila. Mary Jane was finished eating and antsy to get going so I said, "how about one more game of Hangman" she agreed, and my phrase was "Will you marry me" | |

 We went out Valentine's night for dinner and a movie. We ate at Garfields and they cover the tables in paper and give you crayons to color. We were drawing while waiting for our food, we played a game of hangman. Our food got there and we ate. We were getting ready to leave and Mark asked if I wanted to play another game of hangman before we left. So I did and he asked me to marry him playing hangman.I of course said yes and loved the way he asked me, because I had to spell it out. |
